Gerard Reid

Gerard Reid has over two decades’ experience in research and fund management. He is also a lecturer, professor and author on energy and renewable energy. Prior to founding Alexa Capital, he was Managing Director and Head of European Cleantech Research at Jefferies & Co. While at Jefferies, as a senior member of the Global Cleantech Research team, he also helped found and build the #1 global industry and investor conference platform in the new energy sector, hosted in both New York and London. 

Gerard joined Jefferies from Ardour Capital, the alternative energy-focused investment bank and fund manager, where he was a Managing Director and Head of Europe. Previously he was Head of Research at First Berlin, where he expanded the cleantech equity research operation to cover 50 companies. He is also a founding partner of Swancreek Energy, a leading U.S. solar PV developer.
